It has been said many times that The Money Is In The List…
… but how do you build that list?
Well, today I want to share my No. 1 Listbuilding Strategy with you… it’s also the strategy that many of the Top Internet Marketers use to cast a wide net and make themselves known to a huge pool of people.
The strategy that I’m talking about is very easy to do and you’ll see results faster than you could with any other method out there. I’m talking about being a Contributor to Giveaway Events!
I’ve participated in several of them with great results which is not easy for relatively new marketers.
One of these events has just started the Pre-Launch and it’s one of the largest events of the year!
The Halloween Giveaway is one of those events that you don’t want to miss because the owner is nobody else but Guido Nussbaum, one of the leaders in this industry.
Many of the Top Marketers are going to be promoting this event to their lists which for you means thousands of participants looking for free reports, software and scripts will be viewing your gift and signing up to your list.
Here’s what you need. First you need a gift in the form of a downloadable product. If you don’t already have a freebie for visitors to your website, you need one anyway. PLR (private label rights) products are great for this purpose. You can check out a few of my favorite PLR sources in my post Confessions of a PLR Junkie.
Next you need to create a simple squeeze page with an optin form. You can get examples of squeeze pages with some of the PLR products or you can find templates from Optin Designs.
Next if you are new to creating lists, you will need an autoresponder such as Aweber to collect the names and allow you to communicate with the folks on your list.
Finally you need a download or thank you page with a link to download your gift. If you have subscribed to my list, you have seen examples of these pages.
This is a little bit of effort to get this all set up, but the good news is that you do the work once and then you can rinse and repeat for other events.
Now, although these events are free, you will be presented with an opportunity to pay for an upgraded position plus the opportunity to submit a paid special offer as well as text or banner ads. I went the free route on my first event, but upgrading in subsequent events improved my conversions immensely and the money that I made more than covered the cost of the upgrade.
