What does the Leaning Tower of Pisa have to do with learning the Internet marketing business and becoming an Internet Superstar? Read on…
Have you been to the Leaning Tower of Pisa lately? If so, you know that when you enter the grounds, you are greeted by hordes of hawkers trying to get you to buy their stuff…mostly junk. It’s only when you get through them do you see the iconic tower and beautiful surroundings that you have seen so many times in pictures. Truly magnificent and yes..it is leaning.
It can be just like that for Internet marketing beginners. When beginners first arrive on the scene, they are many times greeted by hordes of so-called gurus promising that you will make millions overnight. But only if you buy their book, their program, their ecourse, join their membership, and oh, by the way, you must buy today before they “close the doors”. And by the time you finally get through that you have spent significant coin on digital dust that you will never use and may never read.
Now, don’t get me wrong, there are really good teachers and resources that you must take advantage of, but the really good ones aren’t hanging out at the entrance with the hawkers. So where do you find the good ones?
Start with someone who mentors the good ones and follow their conferences. There are several you could choose, but I’ll save you the trouble of looking…Mark Hendricks of Internet Success System. Mark has been online since 1994 after a successful offline career and has helped thousands of Internet marketers through his ISS program, conferences, mentoring and publications.
There are several ways that you, too can get Mark and his friends on your team:
- Join the ISSNing Social Network. That’s where all the ISS folks hang out. No cost to join.

- Attend the ISS conferences which are held twice a year–one in Orlando in April and one in Atlanta in October (free to ISS Gold members).
- Attend the Internet Superstars conference held in Orlando in January or at least sign up for the free pre-conference training teleseminars on Blog Talk Radio.
- Attend the NAMS (Niche Affiliate Marketing Systems) workshop held in January and August in Atlanta. This is not run by Mark, but rather a successful student of his, David Perdew. Mark is one of the speakers and it too has free pre-conference training.
