Affiliate marketing can be hugely competitive in certain niches with many affiliates promoting the same products. One affiliate marketing technique is to offer customers buying through your link, a bonus or free gift.
If you will look at sales pages for Internet marketing products, you’ll notice that almost all of them offer their buyers bonuses. That niche is one of the more competitive so the super affiliates use this affiliate marketing technique to give themselves an edge.
These bonus items are added to a product to add value to the product and provide the buyer more than their money’s worth when they purchase.
There are a few ways you can do this, but one of the easiest, especially if you have no way of knowing who purchased from your referral is to have them forward a copy of their receipt to you via email.
If you are using affiliate marketing to promote ClickBank products, you can use a nifty program called CB List Automator which automatically sends an email with a link to your bonus or discount code to anyone who buys the product through your link.
Here are just a few ideas of incentives that go over well:
1. A reduced price on one of your own products.
2. One of your products for free.
3. If you’re a service provider offer X amount of hours of work.
4. Cash – nothing says Thank You like cold hard cash!
Be sure to read the terms of service for your affiliate programs as some prohibit incentives.
So, put your thinking cap on and get creative with your affiliate marketing. Think about what you can offer someone who purchases using your affiliate link.
