Super Affiliates – What Do They Have That You Don’t

by Chris Cobb on 1:55 pm

Super AffiliateWho are these “super affiliates”? Do you envision a person in a cape with a big red S on it standing, hands on hips, on a pile of money? Actually, super affiliates have figured out what their market wants and have a well conceived plan to market it to them. They simply make more sales of other people’s products than a normal affiliate. Now, at this point you are probably asking yourself, “How can I possibly sell more than the majority of affiliates who promote product X or service Y?”

It is NOT as hard as you might think.

Considering the majority of affiliates in a program either don’t promote, only promote in one place or one time, or just don’t know how to effectively promote a product, it’s not difficult at all to become one of those super affiliates in almost any affiliate program.

Super affiliates don’t simply throw up a button, post a link within an article on their website or send out a tweet to generate a decent affiliate income.

Here are just a few things super affiliates do that most affiliates don’t:

1. Work Hard!
2. Think BIG!
3. Remain Consistent!
4. Have Drive!

Honestly, the things above are not hard to accomplish. Everyday a new affiliate signs up to promote a product with the intention of promoting it, but once they redirect their referral link, post a link on their site, or send out one mailing they never think about it again.

Super affiliates don’t stop there.

Over the next few blogs, we’ll look at where you go from here.

Hi Chris
Super affiliates sounds good.
I’m just starting to think about a few affiliates for my site.

Any thoughts on where to look for affiliates on a category by category basis?

A good place to start is where affiliates hang out. Here are a few that come to mind: Lynn Terry’s forum, Self Starters Weekly Tips. Her elite forum is closed to new members at the moment, but the main forum is free to join. It is a very active forum of affiliate marketers in a variety of niches. Also, try the Warrior Forum where you’ll find tons of affiliates. NAMS is still relatively small but is growing in popularity and size.
