Market Samurai’s New Title and Anchor Text Feature

Market Samurai

A few years ago I discovered a way to create a niche website using Market Samurai. I posted a step-by-step video explaining how I did it and this video continues to get views on You Tube even years later.

Many things have changed over the years — both on Google’s end and for all keyword tools like Market Samurai.

Google has had a seemingly unending stream of “zoo-like” updates to its algorithm (Panda, Penguin, etc.) and has most recently hidden search terms from website owners and “deep-sixed” its free keyword tool making it more difficult to make smarter keyword decisions. Premium keyword tools have had to adapt to this changing landscape.

Market Samurai’s latest feature “Title and Anchor Text Competition” filters down the competing websites for keywords to only those with the keyword in the title tag and an inbound link from another website using the keyword in the anchor text.

Watch the video below to get a better idea of why this feature is important and how to use it. This video was made during Market Samurai’s 50% off sale December 2 – 6, 2013. If you are reading this post after the time has expired, not to worry. You can still test out the new feature for free. If you happened to be reading during that time — great!

  2. Christine,

Do you still find the Market Samurai tool to be useful and if so, what specifically do you use it for?

Once upon a time it was great at find high volume low competition keywords, but those days are long gone. I have not used it in maybe 18 months.

      Hi Kevin,
I don’t use the tool much any more either. I generally now outsource my client’s SEO/Keyword Research work to experienced SEO copywriters. What are you using these days?

  3. Keyword research has become ineffective. Now we brainstorm keywords and start publishing.
